Maids Services
Please find below a list of our standard and most commonly used Maids Services at Design Home Management. Arrival Clean with windows
- Windows will be opened to air while cleaning property.
- Shutters will be opened and secured in preparation for owner's arrival.
- No air-conditioning will be left on (if applicable) for owners arrival unless specified on the arrival form.
- All beds will be made up unless owner's arrival form has specifically requested certain beds only.
- Towels will be placed in bathrooms.
- Starter Toiletries are provided to include: soap, shower gel and toilet rolls. (Thereafter owner's toilet rolls will be used in toilets and bathrooms.) Should owners require extra toiletries for their guest's arrival, this should be indicated on owner's arrival form at an extra charge.
- Floors will be vacuumed and mopped. (It should be noted that no heavy items of furniture or beds can be moved by our maids due to new health and safety rules and regulations.) Vacuums will be used to reach under beds where ever possible. Carpets will be vacuumed and placed on the floor where they have been stored on cupboards following a departure clean.
- Furniture and shelves will be dusted. (It should be noted that properties having excessive ornaments and decorative items will incur a surcharge to cover for the extra time required to clean all items.)
- Kitchen floor, worktops and outside of cupboard cabinets will be cleaned including exterior of appliances. This would include crockery, cutlery and glasses including the inside of the kitchen cupboards. (Should clients require a more comprehensive service, we recommend a full spring clean service available on our price list.)
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms including toilet and sink/bath wastes.
- Clean terrace tiles but not BBQ's. Where BBQ's have been left dirty and not ordered to be cleaned following a departure clean, owners must advise Design Management to clean the BBQ at an additional charge. Due to the time it takes to clean BBQ's the service cannot be included in the normal cost of an arrival clean.
- Clean terrace furniture and place on terrace outside property. We would remind owners Design Home Management can take no responsibility if these items go missing while left outside awaiting owner's arrival.
- The main electric fuse box will be switched on to facilitate cleaning and to test the fridge and water heaters to ensure their operation. The fridge and water heaters will be left on for owner's arrival unless the owner's arrival form dictates otherwise.
Mid Holiday Cleaning
- Change linen and towels and make up beds (if requested). Change of linen and towels charged separately.
- Empty rubbish bins and re-line bins.
- Floors will be vacuumed and mopped. (It should be noted that no heavy items of furniture or beds can be moved by our maids due to new health and safety rules and regulations.)
- Vacuums will be used to reach under beds where ever possible. Carpets will also be vacuumed.
- Furniture and shelves will be dusted. (It should be noted that properties having excessive ornaments and decorative items will incur a surcharge to cover for the extra time required to clean all items.)
- Kitchen floor, worktops and outside of cupboard cabinets will be cleaned including exterior of appliances. Including the interior of microwave if applicable. (This would not include crockery, cutlery or glasses in cupboards nor the inside of kitchen cupboards.) Minor items of crockery left out in the kitchen will be washed and placed in kitchen cupboards. (Excessive amount of washing up will be charged separately.)
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms including toilet and sink/bath wastes.
- Wipe over terrace furniture and sweep terrace tiles. No cleaning of BBQ's included.
Arrival without clean
- Windows will be opened to air. Shutters will be opened and secured in preparation for owner's arrival.
- No air-conditioning will be left on (if applicable) for owners arrival unless specified on the arrival form.
- Mains electric will be switched on to ensure fridge and water heaters are working. Both these facilities will be left on for the owners arrival.
- Beds will be made up in accordance with the owner's instructions.
- Towels will be placed in bathrooms together with starter soap, toilet and waste bin liners.
- Terrace furniture will be placed on terrace outside property. We remind owners that Design Management can take no responsibility if these items go missing while left outside awaiting owner's arrival.
Changeover clean
- Terrace furniture will be placed on terrace outside property. We remind owners that Design Home Management can take no responsibility if these items go missing while left outside awaiting owner's arrival.
- Empty all rubbish and perishable food items from kitchen including fridge (unless otherwise requested by owner).
- Make up beds in accordance with owners instructions.
- Place towels and waste bin liners.
- Furniture and shelves will be dusted. (It should be noted that properties having excessive ornaments and decorative items will incur a surcharge to cover for the extra time required to clean all items.)
- Kitchen floor, worktops and outside of cupboard cabinets will be cleaned including the exterior of appliances. Including the interior of microwave and fridge if applicable. This would include crockery, cutlery and glasses and the inside of kitchen cupboards. Minor items of crockery left out in the kitchen will be washed and placed in kitchen cupboards. (Excessive amount of washing up will be charged separately.) Clean oven, hob, toasters, kettles and wall tiles / kitchen Floors will be vacuumed and mopped. (It should be noted that no heavy items of furniture or beds can be moved by our maids due to new health and safety rules and regulations.)
- Vacuums will be used to reach under beds where ever possible. Carpets will also be vacuumed.
- Clean terrace tiles and BB''s. Windows will be cleaned inside and out.
- Ensure all appliances are working and property left secure.
Departure Clean
- All dirty linen and towels will be removed for laundering. Laundry charges will be charged serarately.
- Empty all rubbish and perishable food items from kitchen including fridge (unless otherwise requested by owner).
- Floors will be vacuumed and mopped. It should be noted that no heavy items of furniture or beds can be moved by our maids due to new health and safety rules and regulations.
- Vacuums will be used to reach under beds where ever possible. Carpets vacuumed, rolled and placed in nearest cupboard for storage except where carpets are too big to roll and store.
- Furniture and shelves will be dusted. It should be noted that properties having excessive ornaments and decorative items will incur a surcharge to cover for the extra time required to clean all items.
- Kitchen floor, worktops and outside of cupboard cabinets will be cleaned including the exterior of appliances. Including the interior of microwave if applicable. Dirty pans and dishes will be cleaned and returned to cupboards. Fridges and freezers will be left open, water heaters unplugged and mains electricity turned off unless properties have a pool when fuses will be left on for the operation of filters and pumps or as otherwise directed by the owner.
- Bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected. All windows and shutters will be closed and secured.
- Clean terrace furniture. Terrace furniture will be placed inside the property unless the weight of the furniture makes it impossible to move or covered as is specified by the owner.
Departure without clean
- Fridges and freezers will be left as owners leave the appliance either open or shut depending upon their preference.
- Water heaters unplugged if left on by the owner.
- All windows and shutters will be closed and secured.
- Terrace furniture will be placed inside the property unless the weight of the furniture makes it impossible to move or covered as is specified by the owner.
- All dirty linen and towels will be removed for laundering. Laundry charges will be charged separately.
